At the core of the campaign stand four fully playable characters:
• Valrath Red Guard, a defensive warrior with strong crowd control
• Inox Hatchet, a focused ranged damage dealer
• Human Voidwarden, a powerful support unit with mind altering abilities
• Quatryl Demolitionist, a melee manipulator who reshapes the battlefield
All characters are fully compatible with the original Gloomhaven, expanding its strategic variety.
Jaws of the Lion features 16 monster types, including seven entirely new foes and three formidable bosses. Across a 25 scenario campaign, your party investigates mysterious disappearances in the city streets. Are Vermlings responsible, or is something far more sinister at work?
To welcome new players, the game eliminates cumbersome map tile setups. Instead, each mission is played directly on the beautifully illustrated scenario book, making setup fast and intuitive. A simplified ruleset and a five scenario tutorial ease players into the systems while preserving the tactical richness that defines Gloomhaven.
