In The Quacks of Quedlinburg, players take on the role of dubious charlatans brewing mysterious potions. Round after round, you add new ingredients to your secret concoction. Caution is essential, because one pinch too many can cause the entire pot to explode.
Each player has their own bag filled with ingredient chips. During every round, everyone simultaneously draws chips from their bags and places them into their pot one by one. The higher the value of a chip, the further it advances along the swirling pattern of the pot, increasing the potion’s value. However, drawing too many cherry bombs puts you at risk of an explosion and serious penalties.
At the end of each round, players earn victory points and coins to purchase new and more powerful ingredients. If a pot has exploded, the player must choose between gaining points or coins, not both. After nine rounds, the game ends and the player with the most victory points wins.
The Quacks of Quedlinburg blends thrilling push your luck gameplay with meaningful strategic choices, creating tense and memorable moments where greed and restraint constantly compete.
