You command a unique hive expanding across distant planets, uncovering resources, and developing advanced technologies while the looming age of scarcity draws ever closer. Your mission is simple yet urgent: let your colony flourish before scarcity brings everything to a halt.
At the heart of Astrobees lies a fresh interpretation of worker placement: each worker bee grows older and stronger with every action, but greater strength comes with a cost. When a bee becomes too powerful, she enters deep sleep and cannot be used again until later. Balancing this cycle of growth and exhaustion creates a rich, strategic rhythm in every turn.
You begin humbly with a modest hive, few resources, and only a handful of workers, but you command one of twenty unique factions, each offering distinct bonuses and synergies. With every action you explore planets, harvest resources, develop technologies, and build glory cells that highlight your faction’s strengths.
Your hive expands cell by cell as you generate income, unlock reinforcements, and trigger special effects. Yet time is short. Your bees can only act a limited number of times before exhaustion sets in. Will your colony thrive in time or barely survive the coming scarcity?
