Description
The war for Middle earth expands and new fronts are opened. War of the Ring The Card Game Fire and Swords is the second major expansion and brings fresh scenarios new factions and additional ways to play. Among them is a scenario that allows up to six players to take part bringing the epic conflict to an even larger table.
Fire and Swords adds a wide range of new content that significantly changes the flow of each game. New paths and battlegrounds create additional strategic options while a new type of battleground is introduced known as skirmishes. These represent smaller settlements and fortifications of the War of the Ring such as the Fords of Isen and Bree and add tactical decisions beyond the great strongholds.
The expansion also introduces three new factions to the game. The Northmen join the Free Peoples while the Easterlings and the Ruffians reinforce the Shadow. Each faction brings its own cards abilities and playstyle increasing variety and replay value. Power balances shift and familiar strategies must be re evaluated.
Fire and Swords is designed for experienced groups who want to dive deeper into the conflict and experience the War of the Ring in all its complexity. More players more factions and more locations mean more tension more decisions and an even more epic experience.
