Description
The Isle of Cats: Kittens + Beasts is an expansion for The Isle of Cats that adds 3 new expansion modules to the game. It also includes a new lesson module (I) and 6 new family cards.
Each of the 3 expansion modules can be used independently with The Isle of Cats or combined in any way you prefer.
Kitten Module
- Complexity: Easy
- Compatible with: Standard mode, solo mode, family mode, and up to 6 players
- Adds more emphasis on being the fastest player each day and introduces kittens as a new tile type, increasing options without adding much complexity.
Beast Module
- Complexity: Medium
- Compatible with: Standard mode, solo mode, family mode, and up to 6 players
- Introduces ancient beasts that serve as early game goals. Beasts score points if surrounded by friendly cat families, adding spatial strategy to your boat layout.
Event Module
- Complexity: Hard
- Compatible with: Standard mode, solo mode, and up to 6 players
- Adds event cards that change the rules in rounds 1 and 5, and provide new scoring opportunities in rounds 2, 3, and 4. Encourages adaptive planning and strategic flexibility.
