Description
The Munchkins return, but this time they blast off into space. In Star Munchkin, you become Mutants, Androids or Cat People armed with Lasers, Vibroswords and Nova Grenades as you battle outrageous foes like Fanged Fuzzballs, Bionic Bimbos and the sinister Brain in a Jar. This standalone adventure uses the classic best selling Munchkin rules but adds space themed twists such as Sidekicks, and it can be fully combined with any other Munchkin products.
As part of the Munchkin series, the game pokes fun at the clichés of role playing games. Everyone begins at level one and the winner is the first to reach level ten. During the game you acquire character classes and gear reminiscent of Dungeons and Dragons, which influence the cards you can play and how you face the dangers of the cosmos.
There are two card types: treasures and encounters. At the start of each turn, the active player kicks down the door and reveals an encounter. Often this means facing a monster. Monsters have levels and you must overpower them using your own powers, equipment and bonuses or attempt to escape. Other players may choose to help or hinder you by contributing additional monsters. Defeating a monster usually offers treasure and level gains, while losing brings bad stuff that costs levels or items.
Note: The 2012 Pegasus Spiele edition of Star Munchkin includes Star Munchkin 2 The Clown Wars. The same applies to the Italian edition from Raven Distribution.
