Spin Master Jumanji
German
Description
This new version of the game differs significantly from the 1995 edition, which was re released in 2017 in a wooden box but kept the old rules. It also plays differently from the 2019 prop replica. The 2021 edition reinvents the experience and shifts the focus toward a true jungle adventure.
While it comes in a wooden box reminiscent of earlier releases, the board now shows four pathways crossing a vibrant jungle landscape filled with waterfalls, a volcano and rich natural details. The pawns are shaped like the iconic rhinoceros from the movie, instantly capturing the cinematic energy. The game includes two standard dice, four challenge dice, twelve life tokens and a sand timer. Opening the lid reveals the same text seen in the movie, adding a nostalgic and dramatic touch.
At the core lies a deck of one hundred challenge cards. The green card reader reveals a hidden riddle that points to one of twenty categories. On the back, each card presents a challenge ranging from classic dice tests to energetic physical actions, such as jumping over an imaginary chasm or racing to the fridge to take a bite of fruit before the timer runs out. There are storytelling prompts like escaping a lion, group acting moments like howling together and trivia questions related to the jungle.
If you fail a challenge, you lose a life token. If any player loses three tokens, the group loses the game. But teamwork matters: players can give their life tokens to others to keep the adventure alive. A cooperative journey full of movement, imagination and movie magic.
