Description
The world is on the brink and you are the last line of defence. Pandemic Legacy is not a standard board game but an unfolding global story told over many sessions. Each game becomes a chapter in the fight against four deadly diseases and every decision leaves a permanent mark on the world. Success brings hope failure leaves scars that cannot be undone.
At the beginning the experience feels familiar. Like classic Pandemic your team races across the globe treating outbreaks building research stations and searching for cures. Each player takes on a unique role with special abilities and only through close cooperation can disasters be contained. But time is never on your side. Epidemics escalate panic spreads and cities become increasingly difficult to reach.
The heart of Pandemic Legacy lies in its campaign structure. Twelve in game months await and each month gives you two chances to complete its objectives. Succeed and the story moves forward immediately. Fail and you receive extra funding but face rising pressure. With every session the game evolves. New rules components and surprises are introduced. Cards are written on stickers are permanently placed and some elements are removed forever. Characters grow stronger gain new skills or suffer lasting consequences. In extreme cases they can even be lost completely.
These lasting changes make every campaign truly unique. No two groups experience the same world and no outcome can be predicted. Pandemic Legacy challenges you strategically emotionally and as a team. It rewards foresight sacrifice and the courage to make decisions whose consequences will only become clear later.
