P'achakuna
Description
Pachakuna takes you deep into the heart of the Andes, where your journey unfolds alongside your most loyal companion. Your llama. Each player controls a color. White llamas travel through lush green valleys, while black llamas climb the harsh mountain paths. No matter the color, your goal remains the same. Reach the remote mountain villages, deliver the dyes they desire, and build your own collection along the way.
At the start of the game, your llama stands in the center of the board in the white village, already carrying its first dye. The landscape is formed from thick hexagonal tiles that combine valleys and mountains in shifting proportions. These tiles can be physically lifted and rotated, allowing you to reshape the terrain and create new paths across the board with every turn.
Each village demands specific dyes. Some colors are in high demand, others less so. Delivering the right dye at the right time rewards you generously, while an unwanted color can still be traded cleverly for another. As your personal supply grows, so do your strategic options. The moment you collect all seven colors in your scoring track, victory is yours.
Pachakuna thrives on thoughtful planning, spatial awareness, and constant adaptation. Every tile rotation can open new routes or block your opponent. Gaining additional llamas increases your reach, but also demands precise coordination to stay ahead.
A unique cultural element completes the experience. The demand tiles are drawn from a handmade fabric bag crafted in Bolivia and Peru, directly supporting local communities and adding authentic character to every game.
