Description
In the year 1347 an invisible catastrophe reaches the shores of Sicily. Trade galleys arrive in the harbor of Messina and with them comes the Black Death. What follows is one of the darkest chapters in European history. In Messina 1347 you take on the role of a powerful noble family facing an impossible challenge. Save lives, maintain order and rebuild hope in a city on the brink of collapse.
As the plague spreads relentlessly, you evacuate citizens from the city and resettle them on your lands. There you establish small independent communities that must be protected, sustained and developed. At the same time you fight the disease with fire and make decisions that carry heavy moral and strategic weight. Each round shifts the rhythm of the game. Messina grows emptier, the countryside more alive and the tension steadily rises.
In the final phase the tide begins to turn. The plague recedes and the work of restoration begins. Saved citizens return to the city, new structures emerge and Messina slowly comes back to life. Players who managed their resources wisely, planned ahead and adapted to changing conditions will shape the future of the city.
