On an uninhabited island in uncharted seas, explorers have discovered traces of a long lost civilization. In Lost Ruins of Arnak, you lead an expedition to explore dangerous regions, uncover powerful artifacts, and face fearsome guardians in a quest to uncover the island’s secrets.
The game seamlessly combines deck building and worker placement into a strategic experience focused on exploration, resource management, and discovery. Cards are not only used for traditional deck building effects but can also be played to place workers on the board. As players explore new areas of the island, additional action spaces become available, opening up new strategic options.
Some of these actions do not require workers but instead demand resources, making the development of a strong resource engine essential. However, you are limited to just one action per turn. Every choice matters. Which action benefits you most right now and which opportunities can you afford to leave for later before someone else claims them?
Decks remain intentionally small, and randomness is heavily reduced through the wide range of tactical decisions available on the board. A variety of worker actions, artifacts, and equipment cards ensure that each game setup is unique and constantly encourages players to explore new strategies.
