Description
In Imhotep, players take on the role of builders in ancient Egypt who seek to rival the legendary architect Imhotep himself. Over the course of six rounds, players transport heavy stone blocks by boat to construct five iconic monuments.
On a turn, a player chooses one of four actions:

acquire new stone blocks,

load stones onto a boat,

sail a boat to a monument, or
-
play an action card.
While the actions themselves are straightforward, interaction is constant and often cutthroat. Boats are shared, and opponents can redirect them to monuments that may benefit their own plans instead of yours. Timing, anticipation, and adaptability are crucial, as carefully laid plans can quickly be undone by other builders.
Each monument scores in a different way, rewarding players for specific stone placements. Only those who manage their resources wisely and outmaneuver their rivals will earn the most points and be crowned Egypt’s greatest builder.
