The sky opens and the great migration begins. Le Grand Voyage invites you to take part in one of nature’s most remarkable journeys. Millions of birds leave Europe each year drawn south toward Africa by instinct and survival. Vast distances unpredictable dangers and the perfect moment to land define whether the journey succeeds or ends in failure.
All players act simultaneously taking on the role of one of eight migratory bird species. Each species has its own destination and unique range making every game asymmetrical and engaging. Your goal is to find the best flight strategy to bring your birds safely and swiftly to their winter grounds. Push too far and the risks grow deadly.
Throughout the game you send out scouting flights that advance your position but expose you to the many perils along the route. The challenge lies in balance. Fly as far as possible but land at the right time to secure real progress for your species. Mistime your landing and the entire migration may be lost.
