Queen Gimnax sends you once more into distant frontiers, pushing the boundaries of Nalos in search of knowledge, precision and new lands waiting to be charted. Far Expeditions opens an exciting new chapter, calling upon seasoned cartographers to map unfamiliar regions and uncover the mysteries hidden within them.
This expansion introduces three unique modules, each featuring its own map, special rules and 12 additional cards to enrich your journey. All modules can be used with both Cartographers and Cartographers Heroes, and the set also includes four exclusive Hero cards designed for Heroes, adding a new layer of tactical depth.
Frostbound – Realm of the Frost Giants:
Icy winds roar across a frozen wasteland inhabited by the Kaiika and the formidable Frost Giants. Only fragments of earlier attempts remain, guiding you through a treacherous start. Several spaces are predetermined, demanding precision from the very first moment. Those who manage to chart the entire shore of the frozen lake may claim a hidden treasure from its depths.
Kethra’s Steppe – Redfang and Goldbelly:
Across the sweeping plains stand the twin towers atop Redfang Peak and Goldbelly Mountain. Your mission is twofold: chart the terrain and rekindle the ancient beacons of these towers. These flames represent the eyes of Kethra, goddess of gates and thresholds. Queen Gimnax hopes that restoring these lights will win the goddess’s favor and open portals to distant worlds.
Hornhelm – The Dustland Market:
Merchants from the far corners of Ulos flock to the bustling market of Hornhelm. Exotic spices, rich fabrics and mastercrafted goods fill every stall. For cartographers, the greatest treasures are the tools that enhance their speed or sharpen their precision. At the end of each season, you may spend your collected gold here to acquire valuable items that influence the path of your map.
This expansion pushes your mapping skills to new heights, offering greater strategic variety and fresh challenges woven into each journey.
