Darwin’s Choice is a competitive strategy game in which you create your own animal species and guide them through multiple eras. From a vast selection of animal cards you build unique species and place them into biomes with very different requirements and food supplies. High adaptation ensures survival and rewards you with valuable Darwin points. In addition species that demonstrate superior competitive strength are also rewarded across all regions.
Between the eras the world changes dramatically. Biomes shift events reshape conditions and yesterday’s success can become today’s threat. Now you must adapt your existing species through clever mutations or migrate them into new habitats. Acting too quickly or ignoring the plans of other players can lead to extinction and the loss of all associated Darwin points.
What makes Darwin’s Choice especially tense is that victory points are tied directly to the species and are only scored after the final era. When a species goes extinct its points are lost forever. This keeps the game thrilling until the very end and makes every decision matter.
Darwin’s Choice rewards careful planning strategic flexibility and precise timing. The sheer number of possible combinations and the constant interaction with opponents create high variability and exceptional replay value. No two games evolve in the same way.
All illustrations icons and symbols are hand drawn by French illustrator Rozenn Grosjean giving the game a distinctive organic style that perfectly complements its evolutionary theme.
