Description
It’s the year 1926, the height of the Roaring Twenties. Young women dance until dawn, while bootleggers and gangsters supply smoky speakeasies — Prohibition is in full swing in the United States. People celebrate as if there is no tomorrow, trying to forget the horrors of the Great War, which must never happen again.
But a dark shadow looms over the small town of Arkham. Alien entities, the "Great Old Ones," lurk beyond space and time, stirring at the thresholds between worlds. Occult rituals must be stopped, and these creatures destroyed before the Great Old Ones can unleash their devastating reign on Earth.
Only a small band of investigators stands against this terror. Will they succeed? In Arkham Horror 3rd Edition, 1 to 6 players take on the roles of investigators, gathering clues, fighting terrifying monsters, and acquiring powerful tools and allies to combat the beings that lurk just beyond the veil of reality.
