Description
Adellos is a turn based tactical strategy board game for two to four players focused on fast decisions clear systems and direct confrontation. Each player takes on the role of a medieval fantasy noble and seeks to outmaneuver rival factions through careful planning military strength and tactical skill.
Each player commands a different faction the Royal Army the Clergy the Rebels or the Undead. Every faction offers its own set of units with unique abilities that can be recruited and controlled strategically. In addition each noble begins the game with a specific special ability that shapes the flow of the game from the very first turn and creates strong asymmetry between players.
Beyond unit control players must also manage gold income and a shared flow of action cards. Gold determines which units can be hired while action cards can be played both on your own turn and during opponents turns to actively influence the course of the game. All battles take place on a symmetrical battle map making positioning timing and resource usage critically important.
A game of Adellos can be won in two different ways either by eliminating an opposing noble or by fulfilling a king of the hill condition that requires holding key positions over time. These victory conditions support both aggressive tactics and long term control strategies.
Each turn is divided into two phases. During the first phase players gain resources provided by their units. In the second phase players may hire units move attack or play action cards. Every action costs a specific number of action points. Players begin the game with three action points and a fixed amount of gold. As the game progresses additional action points can be gained allowing for powerful and extended turns.
